Abstract

Aim of our study is to present effect of cochlear implantation on the quality of life in postlingually deaf adults. In our study to evaluate the post operative quality of life, WHOQOL-BREF and SF-36 were used. Results of the questionnaires had resulted 70% or more patient satisfaction in all classification. Physicosocial factors must be considered to evaluate success of implantation with audiological factors.

Özet

Çalışmamızda amaç post-lingual koklear implant uygulanan hastalarda cerrahinin hayat kalitesini nasıl etkilediğini göstermektir . Çalışmamızda hastaların operasyon sonrası hayat kalitelerini değerlendirmek için WHOQOL-BREF ve SF-36 kullanıldı. Anket sonuçlarında her alanda hastaların memnuniyeti %70'in üzerinde elde edilmiştir. Koklear implantın başarısını değerlendirmede odyolojik faktörlerle birlikte psikososyal faktörler de değerlendirilmelidir.
