A 9 year old child with a three year history of juvenile idiopatic arthritis developed bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss. This type of sudden totally bilateral sensorineural hearing loss has not previously been described in association with juvenile idiopatic arthritis. He did not responded to steroid treatment.
