Abstract

To report repair of a recurrent erosion of conjonctiva over the tube with buccal mucosa graft in a patient with Ahmed glaucoma implant. A 60-year old male patient with anterior chamber intraocular lens secondary to cataract operation for 5 years, presented with medically uncontrolled high intraocular pressure. Patient was treated with Ahmed valve implant. After 3 months of operation there was a conjunctival erosion detected over the tube. Recurrent conjunctival erosion despite repeated treatments was repaired with buccal mucous graft. No complications were noted during twelve months follow-ups. It may a good surgical choice to repair recurrent conjunctival erosions over tubes with buccal mucous graft itself

Özet

Bu çalışmada Ahmed glokom implantı uygulanan bir hastada tekrarlayan tüp üzeri konjonktiva erozyonunun dudaktan alınan mukoza grefti ile kapatılmasının bildirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Beş sene önce geçirdiği katarakt ameliyatı sonrası ön kamara göz içi lens uygulanan 60 yaşında erkek hasta medikal tedavi ile kontrol edilemeyen göz içi basınç yüksekliği ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Hastaya Ahmed valf implantasyonu uygulandı. Cerrahi sonrası üçüncü ayda tüp üzerinde konjonktiva erozyonu tespit edildi. Müdahalelere rağmen tekrarlayan konjonktival erozyon alt dudak mukozasından alınan greft ile tamir edildi. On iki aylık takibi sırasında herhangi bir komplikasyon izlenmedi. Tekrarlayan tüp üzeri konjonktiva erozyonlarının tamirinde, tek başına bukkal mukoza grefti kullanımı iyi bir cerrahi seçenek olabilir
