Abstract

Failure to recognise clinical deterioration in hospitalised patients in a timely manner is a major cause of preventable cardiac arrest and unexpected in-hospital mortality (1,2). Literatures demonstrate that early warning scoring systems (EWSS) can detect physiological decline several hours before overt decompensation and can reduce mortality by enabling rapid clinical intervention. In Türkiye, however, there is no universally implemented and standardized EUSS across hospitals, and publications reporting outcomes related to these systems remain scarce. With this study, we aimed to assess the knowledge, awareness, and clinical use of EWSS among anesthesiology and reanimation specialists and residents in Türkiye.
