This study examines the report Female Professionals in European Film Production 2015- 2024 Figures (Schneeberger, 2025), published by the European Audiovisual Observatory. The report presents the proportions of female professionals working in feature films produced in Council of Europe member states and released in Europe during the periods 2015-2019 and 2020-2024. It also highlights Türkiye’s position in comparison with other member countries. The findings indicate that the proportion of female professionals is significantly lower than that of their male counterparts, both in Council of Europe member states and in Türkiye. These results point to the need for effective policies and incentives aimed at reducing gender inequality within the film industry.
