Abstract

Marginal tissue recession is a frequent clinical finding defined by the apical shift of the gingival margin, which subsequently exposes the underlying root structure. A wide array of non-surgical and surgical therapies exists to address this issue. If a surgical route is chosen, selecting the appropriate modality heavily depends on the local anatomy and specific defect traits. For patients presenting with multiple recession defects, crucial factors influencing the treatment strategy include the patient's aesthetic demands, the thickness of the gingival phenotype, and the available band of keratinized tissue. This report aims to outline the short-term clinical results obtained when addressing multiple gingival recessions through varied surgical methodologies, namely the modified coronally advanced flap, connective tissue grafting, and the tunnel approach.
