Abstract
Abstract Aim: The objective of this study was to examine the literature on the use of immediate dentin sealing in indirect restorations from a bibliometric perspective. Materials and Methods: A Web of Science (WoS) search was conducted between 1991 and 2026 using the keywords “immediate dentin sealing” OR “partial indirect restoration” AND “Endokron” under the “All Fields” option. Only publications of the “Research Article” type were included in the study. A total of 157 articles published between 1991 and 2026 in the WoS category “Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Medicine” were identified. The study data were downloaded from WoS in “BibTeX” format and analyzed using the Biblioshiny software. Results: It was observed that 635 authors conducted research on this topic, 458 keywords were used, the articles drew from a total of 46 journal sources, and 157 articles were published, representing a growth rate of 7.06%. Among the published articles, Brazil and the United States (U.S.) were found to have the highest number of publications in this field. The journal with the highest number of publications was found to be *Operative Dentistry*. Among the keywords most frequently used by authors on this topic was “immediate dentin sealing (IDS).” The highest number of articles was published in 2025. Conclusion: The positive annual growth rate indicates increasing interest in this topic. As of 2025, the journal *Operative Dentistry* is the leading publication in this field. By presenting a comprehensive literature review on the subject, this study lays a solid foundation for future research in this field. It suggests new and original research topics to researchers and identifies potential areas of investigation into the various causes of desimantation in indirect restorations. Thus, it serves as an important reference source in both theoretical and practical contexts.
