Bu çalışma, 20. yüzyılın önde gelen İbâdî edebiyatçılarından biri olan Süleyman el-Bârûni’nin şiirini ele almaktadır. Temel odak nokta ise yazarın eserlerinde Osmanlı Devleti, padişah, paşa veya vali gibi yöneticileri ve ordu imgelerini nasıl ele alıp yansıttığıdır. Araştırmanın amacı, Bârûni’nin bir edebî tür olarak şiir sanatındaki üslup ve tasvir unsurlarını ortaya koymak; şiirlerinde Osmanlı devletine ve reform hareketlerine ilişkin düşüncelerini ve eleştirilerini değerlendirmek; ek olarak İbâdî düşünce ve değerlerinin şiir yoluyla nasıl ifade edildiğini incelemektir. Araştırmada yöntem olarak metin analizi teknikleri kullanılmış, şiirler yapısal, sözdizimsel ve retorik açıdan incelenmiş; padişah, valiler ve ordunun temsili ile bu temsillerin dinî ve siyasî boyutları ele alınarak değerlendirilmiştir.
