Abstract

Aim: Cerebrovascular event (CVE), which is the 3rd leading cause of death in the world, can cause numerous functional losses and make the individual dependent in daily living activities. This case report aims to plan the nursing care of an individual with Cerebrovascular event using Virginia Henderson's 14 Basic Needs Model. Method: Data were collected face-to-face by the researcher in November 2025 at the Palliative Care Unit of a Training and Research Hospital in the Western Black Sea region. Nursing care for the case was prepared using the NANDA, NIC, and NOC classification systems. Conclusion: The use of NNN nursing classification systems, in line with Henderson's Nursing Model, enabled a holistic and systematic assessment of the basic human needs of a patient with CVA. This approach contributed to supporting the patient's level of independence, improving their quality of life, and implementing the nursing care process more effectively.

Özet

Amaç: Dünya’da ölüm nedenleri arasında 3. sırada bulunan Serebrovasküler olay (SVO) çok sayıda fonksiyon kaybına yol açarak bireyi günlük yaşam aktivitelerinde bağımlı hale getirebilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumuyla Virginia Henderson’ın 14 Temel Gereksinim Modeli kullanılarak SVO’lu bir bireyin hemşirelik bakımının planlanması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Veriler, Batı Karadeniz bölgesinde bulunun bir Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesinin Palyatif Servisinde Kasım 2025 tarihinde araştırmacı tarafından yüz yüze toplanmıştır. Olgunun hemşirelik bakımı NANDA, NIC ve NOC sınıflandırma sistemi kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Sonuç: Henderson’ın Hemşirelik Modeli doğrultusunda NNN hemşirelik sınıflama sistemlerinin kullanımı, SVO’lu hastanın temel insan gereksinimlerinin bütüncül ve sistematik bir şekilde değerlendirilmesini sağlamış; bu yaklaşım, hastanın bağımsızlık düzeyinin desteklenmesine, yaşam kalitesinin artırılmasına ve hemşirelik bakım sürecinin daha etkili biçimde uygulanmasına katkıda bulunmuştur.
