In classical Turkish poetry, reflections of society and nature can be found in abundance. Cosmic elements such as the Sun, the Moon, the heavens, stars, and planets components of the universal order were employed in various ways as poetic material. Poets conveyed both the grandeur, motion, influence, and form of these cosmic concepts, as well as their analogical associations with the beloved or the praised figure, particularly in the genre of the ghazal, through an aesthetic lens. Thus, while describing the attributes of the beloved or the person being praised central themes of the ghazal cosmic notions served as a significant source of inspiration for nearly every classical Turkish poet. Identifying the meanings attributed by poets to cosmic elements contributes to a deeper understanding of classical Turkish poetry. In this study, following a brief introduction to Vâsık‑zâde Erşed, one of the poets of the eighteenth century, his divançe was surveyed and sixty‑two instances of the concept of felek were identified. The analysis then focused on examining the distinctive features of its usage in these occurrences. Beyond the cited couplets, bibliographic information for the other similes has been provided at the end of the study. The research, being text‑centered, employed a word‑based scanning method.

Klasik Türk şiirinde topluma ve doğaya dair hemen her şeyin yansımasını bulmak mümkündür. Evrenin düzeni ve bu düzenin parçaları arasında yer alan Güneş, Ay, felek, yıldızlar, gezegenler gibi kozmik unsurlar çeşitli yönleriyle şiirlere malzeme olmuşlardır. Şairler kozmik kavramların hem yücelik, hareket, tesir, şekil gibi özelliklerini hem de sevgili ya da övülen kişi bağlamında çeşitli benzerlik ilişkilerini, özellikle gazellerde estetik bir bakışla yansıtmışlardır. Böylelikle gazellerin temel konularından olan sevgili ve övülen kişinin vasıfları anlatılırken kozmik kavramlar, hemen her klasik Türk şairi için önemli bir ilham kaynağı olur. Şairin kozmik unsurlara yüklediği anlamları tespit etmek de klasik Türk şiirinin daha iyi anlaşılmasına katkı sağlayacaktır. Bu çalışmada on sekizinci yüzyıl şairlerinden olan Vâsık-zâde Erşed hakkında kısa bir bilgi verdikten sonra divançesi taranarak “felek” kavramının kullanıldığı altmış iki örnek tespit edilmiş ve söz konusu tespitlerde feleğin kullanım özellikleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Verilen örnek beyitlerin dışında kalan diğer benzetmelerin künye bilgileri çalışmanın sonunda verilmiştir. Metin merkezli çalışmada kelime bazlı tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır.
