Abstract
This study aims to examine the landscape quality of the urban transportation corridor on Derya Street in the Yıldırım district of Bursa through five fundamental dimensions: urban space organization, vegetative material, transportation and landscape integration, visual-environmental quality, and user-oriented comfort. Within the scope of the research, systematic field observations were conducted based on 21 sub-criteria determined within the framework of literature standards, and the obtained data were transferred to a quantitative evaluation model. As a result of the analyses, the overall landscape quality score of Derya Street was calculated as 65.7 out of 100, and the general competency level of the area was determined as "High Competency." The findings demonstrate that while the street exhibits high performance in terms of modern building stock, physical ground smoothness, and barrier-free access potential, factors such as uncontrolled vehicle parking, insufficient vegetative stratification, and a lack of social facilities lower the overall quality score. Specifically, the absence of seating units to support social interaction and the inadequacy of shading elements to create a microclimate effect were identified as primary landscape problems. In conclusion, to elevate the landscape quality of Derya Street to a "Very High" level, it is recommended to increase the level of plant biodiversity and implement pedestrian-priority control mechanisms.
Özet
Bu çalışma, Bursa ili Yıldırım ilçesi Derya Caddesi üzerindeki kentsel ulaşım koridorunun peyzaj kalitesini; kentsel mekân organizasyonu, bitkisel materyal, ulaşım ve peyzaj entegrasyonu, görsel-çevresel kalite ve kullanıcı odaklı konfor olmak üzere beş temel boyut üzerinden incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında, literatürdeki standartlar çerçevesinde belirlenen 21 alt kriter üzerinden sistematik saha gözlemleri gerçekleştirilmiş ve elde edilen veriler nicel bir değerlendirme modeline aktarılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Derya Caddesi’nin genel peyzaj kalite skoru 100 üzerinden 65,7 olarak hesaplanmış ve alanın genel yeterlilik durumu "Yüksek Yeterlilik" seviyesinde saptanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular, caddenin modern yapı stoğu, fiziksel zemin düzgünlüğü ve engelsiz erişim potansiyeli açısından yüksek bir performans sergilediğini, ancak kontrolsüz araç parklanmaları, yetersiz bitkisel katmanlaşma ve sosyal donatı eksikliği gibi faktörlerin genel kalite skorunu aşağı çektiğini göstermektedir. Özellikle sosyal etkileşimi destekleyecek oturma birimlerinin yokluğu ve mikroklima etkisi yaratacak gölgeleme unsurlarının yetersizliği temel peyzaj problemleri olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Derya Caddesi’nin peyzaj kalitesini "Çok Yüksek" seviyeye taşımak için bitkisel biyoçeşitlilik düzeyinin artırılması ve yaya öncelikli denetim mekanizmalarının işletilmesi önerilmektedir.
