Abstract

Glaucoma is usually an advanced age disease. This chronic disease requires life-long follow as well as treatment with topical, laser, or surgery. Such patients may develop the oculoplastic problems that may occur involutional or iatrogenic (following glaucoma medication or surgery). Eyelid surgery in these patients may be caused complications and undesirable outcome. The oculoplastic surgeon should know the incidence and risk factors of special oculoplastic problems for glaucoma patients as well as these complications and take the necessary precautions to achieve a good surgical outcome.
