Abstract

Introduction: Hirschsprung's disease is a disease that often presents in the neonatal period. It usually causes intestinal obstruction in newborns. Surgical methods are generally used in the treatment. The daily living activities model is a frequently used model in the field of nursing. These; These are maintaining the safety of the patient and his/her environment, communication, respiration, eating and drinking activity, excretory activity, personal hygiene and clothing, body temperature control, movement, making use of work and leisure time, expressing sexuality, sleep and death. In our case, after the data were collected and evaluated according to twelve activities and the nursing diagnoses were determined, nursing interventions and practices were applied. Risk of infection, social isolation, inefective breathing pattern, nutritional imbalance: less than needed, nausea and vomiting, diarrhoea, bowel incontinence, self care deficiency syndrome, hyperthermia, impaired physical mobility, impaired recreational activity, disturbed body image, disturbed sleep pattern, and death anxiety nursing diagnoses were made. Conclusion: Intestinal incontinence problems due to Hirschsprung's disease of the child patient continue even though they decrease. After the surgical operation, the image at the incision site disturbs the child patient in body image.

Özet

Giriş: Hirschsprung hastalığı sıklıkla yenidoğan döneminde belirti veren bir hastalıktır. Genellikle yenidoğanlarda intestinal tıkanıklığına sebep olmaktadır. Tedavisinde genellikle cerrahi yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Günlük yaşam aktiviteleri modeli hemşirelik alanında sık kullanılan bir modeldir. Bu modelde aktiviteler on iki gruba ayrılmaktadır.
