Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between household information communication technologies (ICT) access and use on economic growth in OECD countries. According to the model for which a data set covering the year 2022 was created for 35 OECD countries, the relationship between the dependent variable, GDP, and the independent variables, household internet use, number of fixed telephone lines and num-ber of mobile telephone lines, was examined by cross-sectional analysis. According to the analysis results, while the relationship between the increase in fixed telephone subscripti-ons on economic growth is not statistically significant, it was concluded that there is a positive significant effect between the increase in internet usage via mobile telephone and the increase in subscriptions. It has been shown that increases in household internet use have a much greater relationship with economic growth than other inde-pendent variables and have a strong impact on economic growth.
