Abstract

Leibniz algebras are non-antisymmetric generalizations of Lie algebras. Due to the lack of antisymmetry some results in Lie algebras do not hold for Leibniz algebras. The concepts of characteristic subalgebra and characteristic ideal are defined for Leibniz algebras, and certain examples are given. By using characteristic subalgebras and ideals some results on the simplicity and semisimplicity of Leibniz algebras are given.

Özet

Leibniz cebirleri Lie cebirlerinin antisimetrik olmayan bir genellemesidir. Antisimetri özelliğinin yoksunluğu Lie cebirlerindeki bazı sonuçların Leibniz cebirleri için doğru olmaması sonucunu doğurmaktadır. Leibniz cebirlerinde karakteristik alt cebir ve karakteristik ideal kavramları tanımlanıp, bunlara örnekler verilmiştir. Karakteristik alt cebirler ve karakteristik ideallerden faydalanarak Leibniz cebirlerinin basitliği ve yarı basitliği üzerine sonuçlar verilmiştir.
