Abstract

In this article, we aimed to describe the urgent approach, current therapies and new developing therapies in retinal artery occlusion. Although there is no definite therapy about this topic, any treatment within the first 6 hours is effctive and important. Th vascular system should be examined in order to prevent any vascular end-organ ischemia and patients should be monitored for ocular complications.

Özet

Bu makalede, retinal arter tıkanıklığında acil yaklaşım, güncel tedaviler ve yeni geliştirilmekte olan tedavilerin anlatılması amaçlanmıştır. Günümüzde kesin bir tedavi bulunmamasına karşın, semptomların başlamasından sonraki ilk 6 saat içinde yapılacak her tedavi etkili ve önemlidir. Gelişebilecek herhangi bir vasküler uç organ iskemisini önleme amacıyla vasküler sistem incelenmeli, oküler komplikasyonlar yönünden hastalar izlenmelidir.
