Abstract
The global pandemic that began in 2019 accelerated digital transformation in education and brought alternative learning models to the forefront. Developed within Istanbul Technical University Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School during this period, the Nasreddin Hodja Academy is a unique model that blends the traditional master-apprentice relationship, the deeply rooted values of the Ahilik culture, and digital peer learning. Using a qualitative case study method, this research examines the model's five-year pedagogical structure, operations, and outcomes through institutional reports and digital archives. Within this system, students become active information sharers by conducting live online lessons or preparing educational videos for publication on digital platforms in fields they specialize in or are interested in. Research findings demonstrate that this peer learning model supports both students' personal and academic achievements and provides a low-anxiety learning environment. Furthermore, the model has been observed to enhance 21st-century skills such as leadership, communication, and digital production. By enabling more than 500 students to serve as instructors over a five-year period, this model shifts students from passive recipients to active knowledge producers, ensuring sustainable, lasting learning.
