Abstract

In this study, the spectral energy distributions (SED) of metal-poor stars selected from the Sun neighborhood were analyzed. Then, the basic astrophysical parameters that can be used in the spectral analyzes of the stars are determined by using the theoretically calculated model atmosphere fits. Therefore, 10 metal-poor stars were selected from the Polarbase database and the ELODIE spectral library, and their SEDs were generated using their luminosities from the ultraviolet to the mid-infrared region. In addition to the basic astrophysical parameters of the studied stars, their distance and extinction values were also determined. The obtained findings were compared with model atmosphere parameters calculated from high resolution and high signal/noise spectra. The results showed that model atmosphere parameters within the basic astrophysics parameters calculated from SEDs with the method provided by Vines & Jenkins (2022) and applied in this study can be used as preliminary input values in detailed abundance analysis studies for stars.
