Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that affect cigarette smoking behaviour of university students. In the concept of the study, face-to-face questionnaire is applied to students of Trakya University Keşan Yusuf Çapraz School of Applied Sciences. Binary Logistic Regression Analysis was used to analyze data that obtained from 300 students. As a result, it is found that gender, age, class, friends, smoking of familiy members, prestige, origin, being social and stress have significant effect on cigarette concumption of students .

Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin sigara tüketimini etkileyen faktörlerin ortaya konulması olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Trakya Üniversitesi Keşan Yusuf Çapraz Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulunda bulunan öğrencilere yüzyüze anket uygulanmıştır. 300 öğrenciden elde edilen verilere uygulanan Binary Lojistik Regresyon Analizi sonucunda cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf, yakın arkadaş çevresi, ailedeki bireylerin sigara içmesi, prestij, köken, sosyal olduğunu düşünme ve stres faktörlerinin üniversite öğrencilerinin sigara tüketimi üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
