Use of animals as human model has developed in parallel with medical science. Studies on dentistry go back to ancient times. Animal models have have an important place in prosthetic dentistry. Planning the animal experiments, choosing the animal models, and the applying ethical principles, in research and education have been taken up in this review

Hayvanların insan modeli olarak kullanımı, tıp bilimleriyle paralel olarak gelişmiştir. Diş hekimliği ile ilgili çalışmalar da çok eski tarihlere dayanmaktadır. Hayvan modelleri protetik diş tedavisi alanında geniş alarak yer almıştır. Bu derlemede kullanılacak hayvan modelinin seçimi, araştırma ve eğitimde izlenen etik prensipler ele alınmıştır.hayvan deneylerinin planlanması
