Abstract

Body hygiene is a fundamental nursing practice in patient care. This review compares the traditional soap-and-water bathing method with waterless bathing using disposable wipes, evaluating their effects on patient comfort, infection control, and nursing practice. Recent studies indicate that both methods are effective in removing microorganisms; however, disposable wipes offer advantages in terms of infection prevention and time management. This review summarizes current evidence regarding body hygiene practices in nursing care and provides recommendations to guide clinical practice.

Özet

Vücut hijyeni, hasta bakımında temel bir hemşirelik uygulamasıdır. Bu derlemede, geleneksel sabun-su banyosu ve tek kullanımlık mendillerle yapılan susuz banyo yöntemleri karşılaştırılarak hasta konforu, enfeksiyon kontrolü ve hemşirelik uygulamalarına katkıları değerlendirilmiştir. Son yıllarda yapılan araştırmalar, her iki yöntemin de mikroorganizmaların uzaklaştırılmasında etkili olduğunu, ancak tek kullanımlık mendillerin enfeksiyon kontrolü ve zaman yönetimi açısından avantaj sağladığını göstermektedir. Bu derleme, hemşirelik bakımında vücut hijyeni uygulamalarına ilişkin güncel kanıtları özetlemekte ve klinik uygulamalara rehberlik edecek öneriler sunmaktadır.
