Abstract

In this study, the printing industry is defined, and its service areas and production processes are discussed. The relationship between the printing industry and professional ethics is examined under the five fundamental principles of professional ethics: “Integrity,” “Legality,” “Competence,” “Reliability,” and “Commitment to the Profession.” The primary responsibilities of members of the printing industry toward their customers, profession and colleagues, suppliers and business partners, society and the environment, as well as the mutual responsibilities of employers and employees are explained. The aim of this study is to increase awareness and understanding of professional ethical principles and responsibilities among members of the printing industry, students receiving vocational education in related fields, and individuals, institutions, and organizations engaged in service and product exchange with the printing industry.

Özet

Bu çalışmada; basım endüstrisi tanımlanarak üretim alanlarından ve üretim süreçlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Beş temel meslek etiği ilkesi olan "Doğruluk", "Yasallık", "Yeterlilik", "Güvenilirlik" ve "Mesleğe bağlılık" başlıkları altında basım endüstrisi ile meslek etiği ilişkisi anlatılmıştır. Basım endüstrisi mensuplarının müşterilerine, mesleklerine ve meslektaşlarına, tedarikçilerine, topluma ve çevreye karşı başlıca sorumlulukları ile birlikte işveren ve çalışanların da birbirlerine karşı sorumlulukları açıklanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı; basım endüstrisi mensuplarının, ilgili alanlarda mesleki eğitim alan öğrencilerin ve basım endüstrisi ile hizmet/ürün alışverişinde bulunan kişi, kurum ve kuruluşların mesleki etik kuralları ve sorumluluklara dair bilinç ve farkındalıklarının artmasıdır.
