Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine dust exposure, one of the chemical risk factors that occurs in welded manufacturing workplaces, and measurements were made accordingly. Measurements were carried out in 15 different workplaces in the metal industry in Ankara. Measurements were carried out by an occupational hygiene measurement, testing and analysis laboratory authorized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency. In order to obtain reliable data during the analysis and reporting of the measured workplaces, the workplaces are classified as large, medium, small and micro. As a result of the measurements, determinations were obtained about dust exposure in the metal industry. On the other hand, questions were asked to 131 welding employees about dust exposure in the work environment and the dust perception of the employees was evaluated. The study carried out; It mirrors the sector regarding the level of dust exposure in the metal industry and the perception of employees about dust exposure, and is thought to be a guide in improving the occupational health and safety of employees and taking the necessary precautions.limit values that determined by regulatory bodies.
