Abstract

Purpose: It was aimed to determine the relationship between the physical characteristics of volleyball players and their balance performance in this study. Method: 27 female volleyball players playing in Çanakkale Belediyespor Women's Volleyball team participated in this study. In the study, body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, body fat mass, fat-free mass and total body water measurements of volleyball players were measured with Tanita BC 418 body analyzer and balance performances were measured with Tecnobody Prokin PK200 WL device. In order to determine whether there is a relationship between the physical characteristics of the volleyball players, the Spearman Rank Correlation Test, which is one of the non-parametric tests, was applied, and SPSS package program was used in the analysis of the data. Results and Conclusion: As a result of the research, considering the body structure and physical characteristics of volleyball players, the lack of a relationship between parameters such as body fat percentage and body fat mass and balance performance made it necessary to re-investigate these criteria using different methods.
