Abstract

Objectives: Accessory middle turbinate is a very rare anatomical variation. Concomitant lamellar conchae bullosa and accessory middle turbinate has not been reported yet. We report it for the first time. Methods: Case report and literatür review. Results: We detected left lamellar middle conchae bullosa and left accessory middle turbinate in 24 year-old male patient by routine endoscopic examination and paranasal sinüs computerized tomography. Conclusion: Even if accessory middle turbinate is rare, it is important to determine accessory middle turbinate to avoid surgical complications.

Özet

Giriş: Aksesuar orta konka nadir görülen bir anatomik varyasyondur. Daha önce literatürde izlenmeyen aksesuar orta konka ve lameller konka bulloza birlikteliğin literatüre kazandırdığımı düşünüyoruz. Yöntem: Olgu sunumu ve literatür derleme. Bulgular: 24 yaşında erkek hastada rutin endoskopik muayene ve paranasal sinüs bilgisayarlı tomografi eşliğinde lamellar sol orta konka bulloza ve sol aksesuar orta konka saptadık. Sonuç: Aksesuar orta konka nadir görülsede, sinüs cerrahisi öncesi görüntüleme yöntemleri yardımıyla saptanabilmesi komplikasyonlardan kaçınmamızı sağlar.
