Abstract

In an era in which knowledge rapidly becomes obsolete and technological and societal transformations fundamentally reshape occupational structures, it is no longer possible to confine education to a specific age group or to a single period of formal learning. In this context, continuous education should not be regarded as a complementary component of contemporary education systems, but rather as a fundamental necessity that sustains individuals’ employability, social participation, and personal development . As the Journal of Continuous Vocational Education and Training (JCVET), the deliberate inclusion of the term “continuous” in our title reflects the core philosophy and publication policy of the journal. Continuous education does not merely refer to the periodic updating of vocational skills; it also encompasses the strengthening of individuals’ capacity to adapt to changing economic, digital, and societal conditions. From this perspective, continuous education should be understood not only as a natural extension of vocational education and training, but as an institutionalised and systematic expression of lifelong learning.

Journal of Continuous Vocational Education and Training (JCVET) olarak adımızda özellikle yer verdiğimiz “sürekli” kavramı, dergimizin temel felsefesini ve yayın politikasını yansıtmaktadır.
