Abstract

Words that function as a grammatical function in the sentence, establish a meaningful connection between the meaning that comes before or after it, but do not have any connection with single intervals, are called prepositions. Since prepositions are structures that gain meaning in context, the text is considered holistically when examining prepositions. The same preposition can add a different meaning relationship to one sentence and a different meaning relationship to another sentence. It may also have been used in a different function in both sentences. For these reasons, it is essential to evaluate prepositions in their inflection. Stories are short event texts that include events, people, places and times that have happened or are likely to happen. In our literature, the story, as a genre imported from the West, coincides with the Tanzimat Period. Samipaşazede Sezai's work called Küçük Şeyler is considered to be the first work produced in this field. The work "Little Things" was chosen for this award in our research. The story sections in the work are given in the form of a table, and the prepositions are examined one by one in a book. Below the tables, sample sentences from the book with the prepositions used are given.
