Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the research trends and thematic transformation of the psychological well-being literature in the context of the digital work environment through bibliometric analysis. For this purpose, studies containing the term “psychological well-being” in the Web of Science (WoS) database were examined, and 412 articles in the fields of management and business were included in the study based on the determined filtering criteria. The obtained dataset was evaluated through co-word and citation analyses using VOSviewer (1.6.18) software. The findings indicate that studies on psychological well-being have increased significantly, particularly after 2010. According to the co-word analysis results, the concepts of psychological well-being, employee well-being, job satisfaction, stress, and psychological capital occupy a central position in the literature. In addition, digitalization-oriented concepts such as Covid-19, remote working, social media, and metaverse have become more visible in recent years. Citation analysis results revealed that the most highly cited journals were Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Management.
