Abstract
Tawhid, as a literary genre, is the general name given to verse or prose works shaped around the essence (dhat), attributes (sifat), and actions (af'al) of Allah, focusing on His oneness, uniqueness, absolute power, and majesty. In such works, thoughts regarding God, the universe, and humanity are examined systematically, particularly within the frameworks of Kalam (Islamic theology) and Islamic philosophy. These disciplines address the existence of Allah, the creation of the universe, and the manifestation of His names and attributes in the world through the light of both rational (aqli) and traditional (naqli) evidence. The cosmological argument, on the other hand, is an inferential argument asserting that the universe had a beginning and was created out of nothing (ex nihilo), thereby grounding the premise that this order was established by a conscious Creator. This study aims to examine the poem in the genre of tawhid by Niyazi-i Misri, one of the prominent representatives of 17th Sufi literature, within the context of cosmological arguments while preserving a Sufi perspective. In the first part of the research, cosmological arguments are discussed in detail and a theoretical framework is established by explaining them with various examples. In the second stage, Misri’s world of thought and mystical personality are introduced; in this context, Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi’s understanding of wahdat al-wujud (unity of being), which was influential on him, is briefly mentioned. Subsequently, the formal and thematic characteristics of Misri’s tawhid qasida are presented, and the poem is analyzed through a text-centered approach within the framework of cosmological arguments. Within this scope, the study aims to demonstrate how Misri conceptualizes the relationship between God, the universe, and humanity, and how he integrates Sufi thought with theological arguments within the language of poetry.
Bu çalışma, XVII. yüzyıl tasavvuf edebiyatının önemli temsilcilerinden Niyâzî-i Mısrî’nin tevhid türündeki şiirini kozmolojik deliller bağlamında, tasavvufî bakış açısı korunarak incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.
