In order to learn the social, cultural, political and historical elements of a society that lived in the past, it is necessary to reach the documents of that society. It should be aimed that the obtained documents should be examined by different disciplines and brought to science and delivered to people. The texts of the historical periods of the Turkish language are also very valuable in this context. The documents of ancient Turkish societies have been the subject of research in many fields and the results have been presented to the scientific world. However, there are still many issues pending investigation. Divan-ü Lûgat-it-Türk is one of the documents that have been researched in almost every field in the historical Turkish texts and waiting to be investigated in the context of different disciplines. Divan-ü Lûgat-it-Türk, one of the most important works of the period of Karahanlı Turkish written by Kaşgarlı Mahmut, is one of the comprehensive dictionaries of the Turkish language and thousands of words have been spoken on it. In addition to being a dictionary, it contains a lot of information and attracts the attention of many disciplines in this sense. In this study, words related to tailoring tools in Kashgarli dictionary are listed. In addition, the equivalents of the words in contemporary Turkish dialects were given and evaluations were made in terms of structure and origin.

Geçmişte yaşamış bir toplumun sosyal, kültürel, siyasî, tarihî v.b unsurlarını öğrenebilmek için o topluma ait belgelere ulaşmak gerekir. Elde edilen belgelerin farklı disiplinler tarafından irdelenip bilime kazandırılması ve insanlara ulaştırılması hedeflenmelidir. Türk dilinin tarihi dönemlerine ait metinler de bu bağlamda oldukça değerlidir. Eski Türk toplumlarına ait belgeler bugün pek çok alanın araştırma konusu olmuş ve elde edilen sonuçlar bilim dünyasına sunulmuştur. Buna rağmen araştırılmayı bekleyen pek çok konu hala bulunmaktadır. Tarihi Türkçe metinler içerisinde hemen her alanda araştırılmış olan ve farklı disiplinler bağlamında da araştırılmayı bekleyen belgelerden biri de şüphesiz Divan-ü Lûgat-it-Türk’tür. Kaşgarlı Mahmut tarafından kaleme alınan ve Karahanlı Türkçesi döneminin önemli eserlerinden olan Divan-ü Lûgat-it-Türk, Türk dilinin kapsamlı sözlüklerinden olup üzerine binlerce söz söylenmiş ve söylenmeye devam etmektedir. Sözlük olmasının yanı sıra içinde çokça bilgi barındırmakta ve bu anlamda pek çok disiplinin de ilgisini çekmektedir. Çalışmada Kaşgarlı sözlüğünde yer alan terzilik aletleri ile ilgili sözcükler listelenmiştir. Ayrıca sözcüklerin Çağdaş Türk lehçelerindeki karşılıkları verilerek yapı ve köken bağlamında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.
