Medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a major complication, which can develop in patients receiving antiresorptive or antiangiogenics drugs. This pathology is also caused with other medications including immunmodulators. MRONJ patients often present at advanced stages and the treatment process requires operative or nonoperative interventions. In order to establish the correct diagnosis and provide necessary care, it is crucial for the clinicians to have knowlege with all aspects of MRONJ. The aim of this review is to update the list of medications associated with MRONJ, to analyze risk factors, clinical and radiological characteristics as well as prevention and treatment strategies.

İlaca bağlı çene osteonekrozu (MRONJ), antirezorptif veya antianjiyojenik ilaç kullanan hastalarda gelişebilen önemli bir komplikasyondur. Bu patolojiye immünmodülatörler gibi diğer ilaçlar da neden olmaktadır. MRONJ hastaları genellikle ileri evrelerde başvurur ve tedavi süreci cerrahi veya cerrahi olmayan girişimleri gerektirir. Doğru tanıyı koymak ve gerekli bakımı sağlamak için klinisyenlerin MRONJ’u tüm yönleriyle bilmeleri çok önemlidir. Bu derlemenin amacı, MRONJ ile ilişkili ilaçların listesini güncellemek, risk faktörlerini, klinik ve radyolojik özellikleri, önleme ve tedavi stratejilerini analiz etmektir.
