Abstract

This study aims to analyze the criteria that should be considered in determining medical supply stocking strategies in hospitals and the importance of these criteria. Considering factors such as efficiency of health services, patient safety and cost management, main and sub-criteria that are critical for medical supply management are identified. In the study, the weights of the criteria were calculated and prioritized using the Fuzzy FUCOM method. According to the results of the analysis, the main criteria of service time, quality control and risk management stand out as the most important factors. These criteria play a strategic role in terms of fast and uninterrupted supply of materials, compliance of materials with quality standards and management of supply chain risks. In addition, criteria such as cost, supplier reliability, demand uncertainty and warehouse capacity are considered as supporting factors for the sustainability and efficiency of operational processes. Among the sub-criteria, stock cycle speed, compliance with quality standards, and risk of out-of-stock were identified as prominent factors for optimizing medical supplies management processes. These findings provide guidance for healthcare organizations to improve their medical supplies management processes, reduce costs and improve the quality of patient care. The study aims to contribute to making more informed and strategic decisions in healthcare services.
