Abstract

Lymphangiomas are often found at birth. 90% of them are diagnosed before the age of two and it is usually seen in childhood. Lymphangiomas are uncommon lesions of lymphatic ducts. Lymphatic malformations are seen in the adult age group at a rate of 1/100000. A soft, painless, non-pulsatile, approximately 7x5 cm neck mass was detected in the left supraclavicular region in a 40-year-old male patient. Ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging findings were reported as a cystic lesion. The entire mass was surgically removed. Histopathology was reported as lymphangioma. No recurrence or complication was observed in the patient during the postoperative period.

Özet

Lenfanjiomlar sıklıkla doğumda rastlanan, yüzde doksanının iki yaşından önce tanı aldığı, genellikle çocukluk çağında görülen lenfatik kanalların yaygın olmayan lezyonlarıdır. Lenfatik malformasyonlar erişkin yaş grubunda 1/100000 insi¬dans oranına sahiptir. 40 yaşında erkek hastada sol supraklaviküler bölgede yumuşak, ağrısız, pulsatil olmayan yaklaşık 7x5 cm boyutlarında boyunda kitle tespit edildi. Magnetik rezonans görüntüleme bulguları kistik lezyon olarak raporlandı. Kitlenin tamamı cerrahi olarak çıkarıldı. Histopatolojik inceleme lenfanjiom ile uyumlu geldi. Hastada cerrahi sonrası dönemde komplikasyon izlenmedi.
