Abstract

Isolated torsion of the fallopian tube is a very rare condition. It occurs without ipsilateral ovarian involvement associated with pregnancy, haemosalpinx, hydrosalphinx, ovarian or paraovarian cysts and other adnexal alterations or even with an otherwise normal fallopian tube. We presented a case of isolated torsion of the right fallopian tube. The ipsilateral ovary appeared normal, but the fallopian tube was gangrenous and right salpingectomy was performed. Isolated torsion of the fallopian tube should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute abdomen and previous medical history of hydrosalphinx.

Özet

İzole tübal torsiyon oldukça nadir görülen bir patoloji olmakla birlikte akut batın tablosuyla karşımıza çıkması nedeniyle önemlidir. Prevalansı yaklaşık 1/ 1500000’dur. Gebelikte fallop tüp torsiyonu insidansı ise tüm vakaların % 12’sini oluşturduğu bildirilmiştir. Etyolojide en sık rol oynayan faktörler hidrosalpinks, tubal cerrahi, pelvik konjesyon, ovarian ve paraovarian kistlerdir. Vakalar genellikle ani başlayan künt- sürekli veya paroksismal, keskin tarzda alt kadran ağrısı ile başvururlar. Ayırıcı tanıda over torsiyonu, over kist rüptürü, apandisit, ektopik gebelik rüptürü, PID, intestinal cerrahi patolojiler, ürolitiazis, akut sistit akla gelmelidir.
