Abstract

Although retinal cysts are commonly seen in von Hippel Lindau syndrome, bilateral retinal cysts can occasionally appear unrelated to this syndrome. Retinal cysts can be confused with retinal tumours and infectious diseases of retina. In this report we represent a patient demonstrating bilateral retinal cyst accompanying with renal and thyroidal multiorgan cysts without Von-Hippel Lindau syndrome.

Özet

Retinal kistler sıklıkla von-Hippel Lindau sendromuyla birlikte diğer organ kistleriyle beraber görülmesine rağmen bu hastalıktan bağımsız olarak da bilateral retinal kistlere nadiren rastlanmaktadır. Retinal kistler, retinanın tümöral ve enfeksiyöz hastalıklarıyla karışabilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda von-Hippel Lindau sendromu olmadan bilateral retina kisti ile beraber renal ve tiroid multiorgan kistleri saptanan bir hasta bildirilmiştir.
