Abstract

Amyand’s hernia is an inguinal hernia with an appendix involved. It has been approximately found in 1% of cases of inguinal hernias. Preoperative diagnosis of this rare condition is almost impossible. We are presenting; an Amyand’s hernia where the acute appendicitis was found within the hernial sac during surgery for an incarcerated inguinal hernia.

Özet

Fıtık kesesi içinde apendiks bulunmasına Amyand hernisi denir. Bütün kasık fıtığı olgularının yaklaşık %1’inde saptanmaktadır. Preoperatif tanı neredeyse mümkün değildir. Bu olgu sunumunda inkarsere sağ kasık fıtığı tanısı ile ameliyat edilen ve fıtık kesesi içinde akut apandisitin olduğu Amyand hernisi olan 48 yaşında erkek hasta sunulmaktadır
