Abstract

Perioperative hypothermia in pediatric patients is a condition that should be prevented due to complications likely to develop. Currently although there are various methods to prevent perioperative hypothermia, use of evidence-based guidelines for prevention and management of hypothermia will improve success of surgical procedure, and healing process by reducing the incidence of hypothermia-induced complications. Because maintenance of normothermia in children requires a multidisciplinary approach, we believe that this review will help to establish a joint healthcare approach.

Özet

Pediyatrik hastalarda perioperatif hipotermi, gelişebilecek komplikasyonları nedeniyle önlenmesi gereken bir durumdur. Günümüzde perioperatif hipotermiyi önlemede çeşitli yöntemler bulunsa da hipotermiyi önleme ve yönetmede kanıta dayalı rehberlerin kullanılması, hipotermi kaynaklı komplikasyonların görülme sıklığını azaltarak cerrahi girişimin başarısını ve iyileşme sürecini olumlu yönde etkileyecektir. Çocuklarda normoterminin sürdürülmesi multidisipliner bir yaklaşımı gerektirdiğinden bu derlemenin ortak bir bakım yaklaşımı oluşturacağı kanaatindeyiz.
