Bu makalede tüm Doğu Karadeniz'in en önemli kenti olan Trabzon'un tarihi toplu bir bakışla ele alınmaktadır. Bu sayıda yayınlanan kısımda en eski dönemlerden Osmanlı hâkimiyetinin başlamasından hemen önceki yıllara kadarki dönemden bahsedilmektedir.
