Abstract

Accreditation bodies require engineering programs to systematically measure and prove the achievement of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs). However, the lack of structured assessment systems and data-driven evidence remains one of the most common inadequacies in accreditation evaluations. This study introduces a systematic monitoring tool designed to measure, evaluate, and document the achievement levels of PEOs to support continuous improvement and provide concrete evidence for accreditation processes. A custom database tool was developed to track alumni data. Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods were integrated into the assessment process. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to determine the relative importance weights of PEOs. Subsequently, the Multi-Objective Optimization Method by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) was employed to calculate and rank PEO achievement scores across different graduation years. To eliminate the bias caused by varying cohort sizes, normalized proportional values were used rather than raw integers in the decision matrix. The developed tool successfully generates instant statistical reports and graphical representations of both main and sub-PEO achievement levels. It allows program managers to monitor historical trends and objectively track performance from the first graduating cohort to the present. The proposed tool provides robust, evidence-based documentation for accreditation and significantly reduces the administrative workload of monitoring PEOs. It serves as an effective decision-support mechanism, guiding program managers in identifying areas for continuous improvement based on historical data trends.
