Abstract

The 15-minute city model is a contemporary urban planning approach that aims to create accessible, multifunctional and livable neighborhoods where individuals can meet their daily needs within walking or cycling distance. While supporting sustainable transportation, this model also includes multidimensional goals such as social equality, environmental responsibility and quality of life based on spatial proximity. However, a holistic classification approach has not been developed in the literature between these thematic dimensions of the concept. This study systematically examines 103 academic publications in the Scopus database that directly refer to the 15-minute city concept and classifies them under four dimensions: proximity, perception, participation and policy. In this thematic analysis carried out with the content analysis method, trends and gaps in the literature were tried to be revealed both at the conceptual and applied levels. As the main finding of the study, it was revealed that 15-minute city planning and studies focused more on proximity and policy, and that the dimensions of perception and participation were not sufficiently addressed
