Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan olgubilim deseniyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2024-2025 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Elazığ il merkezinde 8 ortaokulda görev yapan 23 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni ile 5, 6, ve 7. sınıfta öğrenim gören 24 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplamasında araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir.
