Abstract
Cotton, supply to the growing needs of the world's population both in terms of fiber and industry's share of business due to his wrist, is an important plant. According to the FAO’s data in 2011, the People's Republic of China in the first place ranking of world cotton production in after Uzbekistan and Brazil to Turkey the 7th place. The main cotton production in Turkey Aegean, Antalya, Çukurova and Southeastern Anatolia are our regions. Cotton farming and a few production problems encountered in this review have been examined in the Antalya region.
Özet
Pamuk, artan dünya nüfusunun ihtiyacını karşılama bakımından gerek lifinden, gerekse sanayi iş kolundaki payından dolayı yetiştiriciliği önem arz eden bir bitkidir. 2011 yılı FAO verilerine göre, Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti’nin ilk sırada yer aldığı dünya pamuk üretim sıralamasında Özbekistan ve Brezilya’dan sonra Türkiye 7.nci sıradadır. Türkiye’de pamuk yetiştiriciliği başlıca Ege, Antalya, Çukurova ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgelerimizde yapılmaktadır. Bu derlemede Antalya bölgesinde pamuk yetiştiriciliği ve karşılaşılan bazı sorunlar incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.
