Özet

Amaç: Total optik sinir avülsiyonu olan 3 hastayı sunmak. Materyal-Metod: Ocak 2000-Haziran 2006 tarihleri arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı'na total optik sinir avülsiyonu ile başvuran 3 hastanın bulguları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Sonuç: İlk muayenede her üç hastada da ışık hissi yoktu. Gözdibi muayenesinde total optik sinir avülsiyonu olduğu görüldü. Takiplerde hiçbir hastada görme keskinliğinde düzelme olmadı. Bir hastada ftizis bulbi gelişti. Tartışma: Ciddi kranioorbital travmalar ani glob protrüzyonuna bağlı olarak optik sinir avülsiyonlarına neden olabilir. Bu tür olgularda tedavi olanağı yoktur ve prognoz kötü olmaktadır.

Abstract

Purpose: To report 3 patients with total optic nevre avulsion Material-Method: The findings of 3 patients with total optic nevre avulsion that were admitted to the trauma department of İstanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology between January 2000-June 2006 were evaluated retrospectively. Results: The initial visual acuity were no light perception in all patients. Fundoscopic examination revealed complete optic nerve avulsion. During follow-up period visual acuity did not improve in any patient. In one patient ftisis bulbi occured. Conclusion: Severe craniorbital traumas can cause optic nevre avulsion with the mechanism of sudden protrusion of the globe. In these cases, visual acuity do not improve and the prognosis is poor.
