The Teaching Management Behavior That the Students Expect from the Teachers in the Biology Laboratory

Özet

Bu çalışma, biyoloji dersinde uygulanan laboratuvar dersini alan öğrencilerin, öğretmenlerin öğretim yönetimi davranışlarına ilişkin beklentilerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ankara ili merkez ilçelerine bağlı farklı liselerde kayıtlı 308 öğrenciye "Öğretmenin Öğretim Yönetimi Davranışlarını Değerlendirme Formu" uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan değerlendirme formu toplam 25 madde içermektedir. Bu çalışma sonunda öğrencilerin biyoloji laboratuvar derslerinde, öğretmenlerden belirli öğretim yönetimi davranışlarını, göstermelerini bekledikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin verdikleri cevaplara göre, biyoloji laboratuvar derslerinde, öğrencilerin öğretmenlerinden amaçlar konusunda öğrenciyi bilgilendirme, öğrenciyi motive etme, öğrencilere dönüt verme gibi bekledikleri birtakım öğretim yönetimi davranışlarını ortaya koymuştur. Elde edilen bulgular yönünde öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Abstract

This study is conducted to determine the teaching management behaviors that the students expect from the teachers in the biology laboratory lessons. "Evaluation form of the Teacher's Teaching Management Behaviors" was administered to 308 high school students. This form includes 25 items. As a result of it was determined that students expected from their biology teachers to show certain teaching management behaviors in the biology laboratory lessons. The findings indicate that the students expect the following behaviors: informing on the aims, motivating, feedback. Based on these findings some suggestions were proposed.
