Activities to form new forces in the southern part of Aydın after the greek attack

Özet

Aydın cephesinde Kuva-yı Milliye birlikleri 23 Haziran 1920’de başlayan Yunan genel taarruzunu durduramamışlardır. Bu durumun bir sonucu olarak, Aydın’ın güneyinde Yörük Ali Efe emrinde yeni kuvvetlerin oluşturulması için faaliyete başlanılmıştır. Muğla Heyet-i Milliye Reisi Vekili Mehmet Rağıp ve 175. Alay 2. Tabur Komutanı Osman yeni kuvvetlerin oluşturulmasında Yörük Ali Efe ile sürekli muhaberede bulunmuşlardır. Bu muhabereler neticesinde taburunun kuvveti hızla artarak, iaşe ve ikmal konusundaki eksiklikler de giderilmeye çalışılmıştır. Seyyar Jandarma Tabur Komutanı Molla Hasan, Numune Tabur Komutanı Bahaddin Bey, Zekai Bey, Necmeddin Bey gibi vatanseverler de taburların oluşmasında büyük gayret göstermişlerdir. Her türlü gelişmeden Yörük Ali Efe’yi haberdar etmişler, bu sayede efradın toplanması, sevk ve idaresi, iaşe ve ikmali gibi konularda etkili faaliyetler yürütülmüş ve kısa sürede taburların mevcutları arttırılmıştır. Yürütülen bu fedakarane çalışmalar sonucunda bir yandan Aydın’ın güneyinde oluşturulan kuvvetler düzene sokulurken, diğer yandan da düzenli orduya geçiş için gerekli olan şartlar hazırlanmıştır.

Abstract

The Turkish revolutionary troops in the Aydın Front could not stop the general attacks of Greek troops, which began to attack on 23rd June, 1920. To this end, new action plans were taken in the southern part of the Aydın front under the command of Yörük Ali Efe. Commander Osman, the head of the 175th Regiment of the 2nd Troop, and Mehmet Rağıp, The Deputy Chairman of the Muğla Council, communicated with Yörük Ali Efe while forming new forces in order to stop and prevent the attacks. Consequently, the troop gained pace and the competent authorities made effort to compensate for the deficiencies in the field of food and supply. Molla Hasan, the Troop Commander of the Mobile Gendarmerie Team, and patriots such as Bahaddin Bey, Zekai Bey and Necmettin Bey contributed to this process in order to form stronger troops. They informed Yörük Ali Efe on all kinds of improvements and developments within this field. Thanks to all these efforts, people clubbed together to enhance the opportunities in the field of transportation, administration, food and supply. Eventually, the current conditions of the troops were improved in a short time. Thanks to all these efforts and contributions that required a great deal of dedication, the troops in the southern part of Aydın were arranged properly on one hand. On the other hand, this process referred to the first steps of shifting to a regular troop system.
