Özet
Türkiye 1930'ların başından itibaren batılı devletlerle, geçmişten gelen sorunlarını halletmeye başlamıştır. Bu batılı devletlerden biride Amerika Birleşik Devletleridir. 1932 yılında Türkiye'ye gelen ABD Genelkurmay Başkanı General Douglas Mac Arthur, İstanbul'da Atatürk ile bir görüşme yapmıştır. Bu görüşme Türk- Amerikan ilişkilerinin seyri açısından bir dönüm noktası olmuştur.
Abstract
Turkey has begun to overcome the issues from the past with the western countries since the beginning of the 1930s. One of these western countries is the United States of America. In 1932, General Douglas Mac Arthur, Commander of the US General Staff who visited to Turkey met with Ataturk in Istanbul. This meeting was a turning point for the Turkey and the USA relationship.
