Türkiye’de Yükseköğretim Düzeyinde Gastronomi Eğitimi Alan Öğrencilerin Beklenti ve Değerlendirmelerine Yönelik Bir Araştırma

(A Study on the Expectations and Evaluations of Students Receiving Gastronomy Education at Tertiary Level in Turkey)

Özet

Bu araştırma, Türkiye'de yükseköğretim düzeyinde gastronomi eğitimi veren üniversitelerde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin program amacına yönelik beklenti ve değerlendirmelerini saptamaya yöneliktir. Öğrencilerin ilgi ve isteklerine uygun nitelikli bir eğitim sürecinden geçerek mezun olmaları, toplumun kalkınmasında nitelikli iş gücünün sağlanmasında katkı sağlamakta, toplumsal ihtiyaç ve beklentilerin karşılanmasında da rol oynamaktadır. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri kuruma ilişkin değerlendirmeleri hem fakültelerin hem de yüksekokulların bu yöndeki gelişimleri üzerinde önemli katkılar sağlayabilecektir. Araştırmaya 7 fakülte ve yüksekokulun gastronomi programlarında öğrenim görmekte olan 967 öğrenci katılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğrencilerin kayıtlı oldukları okul türü ve sınıf faktörü ile değerlendirmeleri arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar neticesinde Türkiye'de lisans düzeyinde gastronomi eğitimi veren okullar ve bu okullarda verilen eğitimin niteliği ile ilgili bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur

Abstract

This research is aimed at determining the program purpose, evaluations of the students who are studying at the universities that provide gastronomy education at the higher education level in Turkey. Graduates passing through a qualified education process in accordance with the interests and desires of the students contribute to the provision of qualified workforce in the development of the society and play a role in meeting social needs and expectations. For this reason, students' evaluations of the institution they are studying can provide significant contributions to both the faculties and the development of higher schools. Research 7 studying in the college's faculty and 967 students participated in the program gastronomy. According to the results obtained, it is concluded that there is a significant relation between the type of school and the class factor and the expectations and evaluations of the students. As a result of the results obtained from the research, some suggestions have been made about the schools that provide gastronomy education at undergraduate level in Turkey and the quality of the education given to these schools.
