Türk Turizminin Makroekonomik Göstergeler Üzerindeki Etkileri

Özet

Turizm sektörünün ülkelerin gelişiminde ve kalkınmasında büyük rol oynadığını söylemek mümkündür. Dolayısıyla tüm dünya ülkelerinin turizm sektörünü canlandırmak ve bu sektörden arzuladıkları payı alabilmek için gayret gösterdikleri bilinen bir gerçektir. Türk turizm sektörünün de her geçen gün iyileşerek geliştiği bilinmektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın temel amacı, Türk turizm gelirlerinin makroekonomik göstergeler üzerindeki etkisini tespit etmektir. Bu amaç kapsamında literatür taraması yapılarak, araştırmanın kuramsal çerçevesi oluşturulmuştur. Ekonomik açıdan 1990-2017 yılları arasında çeşitli veriler elde edilerek, bu istatistikî veriler değerlendirilerek, çalışma sonuçlandırılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda Türk turizm gelirlerinin ülkenin GSYİH’si, ekonomik büyümesi üzerinde olumlu etki yarattığı saptanmıştır. Bununla beraber turizm gelirlerinin, ülke istihdamının artmasında ve cari açığın azalmasındaki katkısı ortaya konulmuştur.

Abstract

It is possible to say that the tourism sector plays an important role in the development of the countries. Therefore, it is known that all the countries of the world are striving to revive the tourism industry and to get the share they desire from this sector. It is known that the Turkish tourism sector has improved day by day. In this context, the main purpose of the research is to determine the impact of Turkish tourism incomes on macroeconomic indicators. Within the scope of this aim, literature review was conducted and the theoretical framework of the research was established. From an economic point of view, various data have been obtained between 1990-2017. This statistical data was evaluated and the study was concluded. As a result of the survey, it was determined that the Turkish tourism incomes had a positive effect on the GDP and economic growth of the country. Nevertheless, the contribution of tourism revenues to the increase of country employment and to decrease current account deficit has been put forward.
