Abstract

The objective of this research is to review the teachers’ attitudes towards students’ intraclass undesirable behaviours who working in Reyhanli District of Hatay Province from various variables. The universe of this research, which was made by using descriptive survey model, is comprised of teachers, who were working in various schools in Reyhanli District of Hatay province in the academic year of 2018 – 2019. The sample of the study is comprised of 197 teachers in total, i.e. 98 male teachers and 99 female teachers, who were selected out of this universe randomly by using simple assignment sampling method. In the research, we used the “The Scale of Teachers’ Behaviors to Undesirable Behaviors in Class (SIDOTO)” developed by Tanhan ve Şentürk (2011) and comprised of 23 items, as well as “Personal Information Form” developed by the researcher in order to determine the demographical characteristics of teachers. Regarding sub-goals we determined, we used arithmetic mean to determine teachers’ attitudes, independent samples t-test to determine its correlation with gender and marital status variables, and ANOVA tests to examine its correlation with the variables of age and type of school. Data were analysed in the computer environment by using SPSS 21 and Mplus 7 programs. The Skewness value were found to be between -1 and +1 and Q-Q Plot figure shows that the data were assumed as having normal distribution. According to the results of the study, the level of teachers’ work-related quality of life was determined as“average”. We observed that the attitudes of teachers were insignificant statistically by gender, marital status and age variables, but that it was statistically significant by the variable of type of school. According to the variable of the type of school, we determined that the attitudes of teachers showed statistically significant difference not only among secondary school teachers and kindergarten school teachers but also among high school teachers and kindergarten school teachers showed statically significant difference.
