PERGELİN BİR AYAĞI ŞAİR, DİĞER AYAĞI HAYAL DÜNYASIDİVAN ŞİİRİNDE PERGEL

Özet
Yay ve çember çizmeye yarayan bir alet olan pergel, Divan şiirinde bu kullanıma uygun olarak değişik alanlarda şairlerin hayal dünyasında yer almaktadır. Bunlardan bazıları şöyledir: Pergel, özellikle felekle ilgili kullanımda, dikkat çekici boyutta bulunmaktadır. Divan şiirinde sıkça geçen felek ile genelde kastedilen gökyüzüdür. Dünya kâinatın merkezidir. Dokuz kat felek de soğan zarı gibi dünyayı çevrelemektedir. İşte bu aşamada pergel felek ilişkisi ortaya çıkmaktadır. Çünkü daireler çizmeye yarayan pergel, burada felek pergeli olarak görülmektedir. Harflerin altında veya üstünde bulunan nokta, tasavvufi düşüncede hakiki birlik olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu haliyle varlığın, çokluğun aslı olarak düşünülmektedir. Pergelin noktası ise bazen gönül, bazen de Kâbe olmaktadır. Nokta söz konusu olduğunda sevgilinin güzellik unsurlarından ağız ve ben de bu konunun içinde yer almaktadır. Aynı zamanda Divan şairi Pergelin sabit ayağı gibi bir sevgili bulamamaktan yakınmaktadır. Dünya nasıl ki kâinatın merkezi ise pergelin merkezinden yola çıkılarak, şairlerin kaynağı olan İstanbul, merkez olarak gösterilmektedir. Sevgilinin bulunduğu yer, âşıklar için çok önemlidir. Âşık pergel gibi sevgilinin mahallesini dolanıp durmaktadır. Bülbülün gagasının ya da âşığın boyunun pergele benzetildiği beyitlerle, Divan şiirinde az da olsa karşılaşılmaktadır. Pergel, gerçek kullanımına uygun olarak süsleme sanatına ait örneklerle de Divan şiirinde bulunmaktadır. Buradan hareketle bu makalede, tespit edilebildiği kadarıyla, pergelin Divan şairinin hayal dünyasındaki yeri altı başlık altında izlenilmeye çalışılacaktır
Abstract
A (divider) compass is an instrument that is used to inscribe arcs and circles. Consistent with its use, it is also employed with different ways in the dream world of the poets in Divan poetry. Here are some of these: Compass draws attention to itself specifically with its wide utilization related to fate. In Divan poetry, frequently used fate is meant to refer to the sky. Earth is in the centre of the universe. Nine layers of the fate circle the earth like the skin of an onion. At this point compass and fate association occurs as the compass that is used to inscribe circles, is seen here as the compass of the fate. The point that is seen under or above the letters is described as the real unity in the Sufi mentality. In this sense it is thought that being is the origin of plurality. The point of the compass is sometimes the heart, or the Kaaba. The beauty features of the beloved one, the mouth and mole, are also included when the topic is the point. At the same time the Divan poet complains about not finding a lover that is like the anchor leg of the compass. Istanbul, the source of the poets, is referred as the centre, as earth is the centre of the universe. The place, where the beloved one exists, is very important to the lovers. The lover circles the beloved one’s neighborhood like a compass. Although rarely, it is possible to come across couplets that compare the beak of the nightingale, or the neck of the beloved one to the compass. Parallel to its real use, compass has also its place in Divan poetry with the examples of its utilization in decorative arts. Based on these, in this article, the place of compass in the dream world of the Divan poet’s will try to be examined under six titles
